The NDVI showed a strong correlation ( R 2 = 0.85) with leaf area index (LAI) ( Sankaran et al., 2015), which is defined as the total leaf area per unit of ground area ( Watson, 1937). Among all VIs, the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) ( Sellers, 1985) is probably the most widely reported and used vegetation index ( Padilla et al., 2018). The VIs must be measured directly from the crop canopy although some other specific vegetation indexes differentiate crop vegetation from the soil surface, for example, the soil adjusted vegetation index (SAVI) ( Huete, 1988). One should be wise to choose an optimal VI and/or their combinations for accurate estimation of crop yield ( Chlingaryan et al., 2018). Some of the most commonly used VIs are presented in the Table 3, although > 100 VIs have been reported ( Bannari et al., 1995 Ollinger, 2011 Xue and Su, 2017) for different applications. ![]() Vegetation indices are mathematical combinations of several spectral bands mainly the red, green and infrared wavelengths, and they are designed to find functional relationships between crop characteristics and sensing observations ( Wiegand et al., 1989). Therefore, a group of vegetation indexes (VIs) are being repeatedly reported for monitoring crop quality and predicting crop yield ( Marino and Alvino, 2014). Early detection of crop biotic and abiotic stresses is also essential to reduce yield losses and increase profitability. Assessment of overall crop growth and health condition cannot be done directly by measuring crop morphological attributes. Canopy dimensions including crop height, width and volume were widely considered to develop variable rate recommendation ( Rüegg et al., 1999 Viret et al., 2007). Multiple studies reported the use of canopy information as potential indicators to predict crop yield ( Villalobos et al., 2006 Zaman et al., 2006) and biomass production ( Ehlert et al., 2008). Crop canopy and it's geometric characteristics are the key indicators of crop growth and productivity ( Lee and Ehsani, 2009). “We are confident that this partnership can better support iBASEt’s customers worldwide through the expertise ATS provides to successfully deploy and support new and existing clients going forward.Crop quality indicators can be used as the measure of crop health and yield potentiality. “We are excited to partner with ATS Global to expand our market presence with an industry leader that understands the requirements to successfully implement manufacturing operations solutions,“ said Tom Hennessey, CMO, iBASEt. “This collaboration will unlock greater value for our customers, expanding their digital initiatives on a global scale.” ![]() “Partnering with iBASEt allows us to expand our solution offering with the best-in-class smart manufacturing solution for complex discrete manufacturing,” said Martine Melis, Chief Commercial Officer, ATS Global. Let’s take a look, shall we?Īddendum: I must confess that when I analyze the bones of the hands, particularly the metacarpals, I analyze them as if they are pronated, and not in SAP. I have noticed that sleeping puppies will often default to the human Standard Anatomical Position, though they always accidentally pronate their front paws. If, however, you are not a yoga practitioner, another helpful test of your understanding of SAP is the examination of the sleeping positions of our canine companions. You can also think of it as the standing version of one of my favorite* yoga poses, corpse pose: If, for example, you’re into yoga, you’re already familiar with SAP as “mountain pose.” I struggled with these kinds of technical definitions when I was an osteology student, and found visual or hands-on demonstrations far more effective. For fetuses and infants who have not yet begun to walk, the body can be envisioned in a supine position (on the back), with the toes pointing up and the palms facing up along the sides of the body” (2005:7). The anatomical position is that assumed by a standing person with the upper limbs at the side and with the face, palms of the hands and feet pointing forwards”(2002: 16). That is, we consider the individual to be standing erect, with feet together, eyes facing straight ahead, and hands at the side with palms facing forward” (1: 1962).Īn Introduction to Human Evolutionary Anatomy specifies that “Anatomical descriptions are always made with the body positioned in the anatomical position…sometimes this has to be imagined, because the bone or specimen under consideration is actually lying on a table or is still half buried in the ground. The first page of Anderson’s The Human Skeleton: A Manual for Archaeologists, notes that “In describing the human body, all references are related to what is known as the ANATOMICAL POSITION. In The Human Bone Manual, White describes Standard Anatomical Position (SAP) as “Standing with feet together and pointing forward, looking forward, with none of the long bones crossed from viewer’s perspective and palms facing forward” (426: 2005). Another helpful tactic that bioarchaeologists and anatomists use to avoid confusion is to ensure that bones are always oriented in Standard Anatomical Position. That said, I think I identified the isolated area down to one collection of forms contained within my “Media Library” documents. I really don’t believe this is sync issue as much as some sort of file corruption. In other words, I understand the differences between the two sync options I’ve tried. But the app still hangs with both devices open and next to each other. Even trying to initiate a manual sync (using the sync button) produces no response. It’s like the app just gets hung-up on the iPad and needs a kick in the ass to pick up those changes. And for the record, I encountered the same behavior when using both iCloud Sync (which is very convenient when it works) and Nearby Sync. Sam, Yes, you are correct I tried that twice already. Seems similar to what just reported (#44977) except his issue deals with iPad -> Mac vs. If I close the app when finished w/o remembering to re-open/re-close the app on iPad to force a sync I will lose all but those initial first few edits I made if I even open the app on my phone and then return to the iPad later. After which, if I begin editing or adding records (still on the iPad) the first few edits work and appear to sync “as I go”. ![]() Again, when opening the app on iPad, the first thing the app does is checks for any pending changes and makes the appropriate updates. ![]() The only other thing I’d do is resend a clean copy of the database from a master device and replace the others but I gather you’ve already done it.īrendan, to answer your question, Yes… even the smallest database presents issues but only on the iPad. By default that will only work whilst your Mac is on, CouchDB is running and you’re on your network but that might make things a little more stable or at least give you a more interesting error message. This is different to the pull only model of nearby sync. The CouchDB sync is bidirectional so that it will both push changes as they happen to the server but also will pull the changes as they happen so other devices see them quickly. Personally I’d look at setting up Apache CouchDB on your Mac and let it run in the background then use it to sync. That does mean the app needs to be open and in the foreground for the sync to happen on iOS devices though I gather that’s likely not the problem. The nearby sync works by pulling changes from other devices which works around a certain amount of issues because it’s not pushing the change. I wonder if there is a poison record somewhere gumming up the works. That said, open to feedback and suggestions. That said, as much as I love Tap Forms, I find myself looking for an alternative as I continue to lose hours’ worth of valuable work unless I consciously remember to “force sync” my changes by quitting and restarting the app every time I make a change that I want to stick. However, Tap Forms is the only app that gives me synching issues on my iPad. The only difference between to the two devices is my phone is Wi-Fi + Cellular, whereas my iPad is Wi-Fi only. I have tried everything from using Nearby Sync (instead of iCloud), to re-copying the databases from my phone phone back to my iPad, backing up and restoring, reinstalling the app completely, building a new test app on my iPad to see if perhaps it’s just those existing databases impacted, etc… and all to no avail. In the meantime, if I open the app on my iPhone and make any changes, the next time I launch the app on my iPad any previously made “iPad” changes are overwritten by my recent changes made while using my phone. ![]() After making a few changes, those changes are “saved” to the device but NOT synched back to the cloud unless I close and re-open the app to “kick-start” the synching process. The Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Procedure The ability to have the maximum tolerated dose of cancer treatment for your diseaseĪn autologous stem cell transplant treats:.Little to no complications from rejection. When you are your own donor, you benefit from: Your bone marrow recovers and produces new, healthy cells. We then replace it with the stem cells we harvested from you. This treatment damages and kills your diseased bone marrow. It’s important to ensure that your home is ready for a safe return after the procedure, and to follow your care team’s directions regarding visitor and food restrictions, which are designed to limit your risk of complications. An autologous stem cell transplant uses healthy cells harvested from your own body. The full recovery of the immune system can take much longer. But because stem cell transplants destroy and rebuild the immune system, patients are left immunocompromised and more vulnerable to infection fr common germs and fungi. The process of growing new blood cells after receiving a transplant generally takes between two and four weeks. Which type of transplant is appropriate for a patient is determined by his or her transplant physician. These types of transplants are also used to treat blood disorders and immune system diseases, such as aplastic anemia, sickle cell anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia, and myeloproliferative disorders. Stem Cell Transplants Rise Among Older Patients. What is a Reduced Intensity Stem Cell Transplant?.What is Haploidentical Stem Cell Transplantation?.This is called the graft-versus-tumor effect. The intensity of the therapy is insufficient to eradicate the malignancy, so this form of transplantation depends on the immunologic recognition of the cancer by the immune system of the donor. In a reduced-intensity allogeneic transplant, doctors suppress the recipient’s immune system enough so the donor stem cells can take root, or “engraft,” there. In a myeloablative transplant, large doses of chemotherapy – or a combination of chemotherapy and radiation – are used to overcome resistance and eradicate a patient’s malignancy. There are two types of allogeneic transplants. The stem cell donor may be related to the patient, or they may be an unrelated volunteer found through a donor registry search such as the National Marrow Donor Program. Following conditioning treatment, the patient’s stem cells are returned to the body to help it produce healthy red and white blood cells and platelets.Īn allogeneic transplant uses stem cells from a donor whose human leukocyte antigens (HLA) are acceptable matches to the patient’s. Stem cells are intrinsically normal, and they are collected to allow blood cell recovery after the administration of high dose therapy that would otherwise irreversibly damage them. In this procedure, stem cells are collected from the patient and frozen in liquid nitrogen before transplant conditioning. Autologous versus allogenic transplantĪn autologous transplant uses a person’s own stem cells. Both kinds of stem cell transplantations are a common treatment option for cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Two of the most common types of stem cell transplants are autologous and allogeneic transplants. It is often lifesaving for patients with blood cancer and serious blood disorders.Ī person may need a transplant for a few different reasons: when their body cannot make the blood cells that it needs, because their bone marrow or blood cells have become diseased and need to be replaced, or because they have a disease that is treated with high doses of chemotherapy and/or radiation, which destroys cancerous and stem cells at the same time. An allogeneic transplant uses stem cells from a donor whose human leukocyte antigens (HLA) are acceptable matches to the patient’s.Ī stem cell transplant is a procedure during which doctors either replace diseased or ineffective stem cells with healthy new stem cells or allow high-dose treatment for lymphoma, some testicular cancers, and other diseases. An autologous transplant uses a person’s own stem cells. ![]() The dynamic animation of Storm peaks of the SF3-URCP 1.2 Quest Storm Peaks Story: So if the map or the enemy gets to hard for you to progress, you can just leave the map with the progress you have reached so far (after a checkpoint save), and continue later with a better equipped and leveled char.
